to bridge the gap between established Hollywood
and the global creative community, as well
as honor excellence in the art of filmmaking.

Film Screenings™ and winners will be announced

OSCAR® BUZZ
OPPORTUNITIES: The
festival provides a great platform to quality
films, both from major studios and independents,
to be highlighted during the festival, so that
they build buzz for the kudos season including
the Oscars®. In the last three years alone, a total of
44 Oscar® nominations and 9 Oscars® were
given to films we showcased and to the nominees
and honorees of our Hollywood Awards. In prior
years, many of our films, nominees, and honorees
such as Russell Crowe, Johnny Depp, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Foxx, Jake Gyllenhaal, Paul Haggis, Angelina Jolie, Nicole
Kidman, Ben Kingsley, Baz Luhrman, Joaquin Phoenix, Julia Roberts, Martin Scorsese, Charlize Theron and many others have received
major acclaim and success with Academy Award
nominations and Oscar® wins.
Our premieres have included
films from DreamWorks, Lions Gate Films,
Miramax, Newmarket, Paramount Studios and United Artists, among many other
major and independent distributors, and our Hollywood
Awards Gala Ceremony nominees, honorees and presenters
have been a virtual "who's who" of
Hollywood's A-list talent and Hollywood studio
executives.
ACCESS TO ACADEMY
VOTERS: Other important components
of our festival and awards ceremony include
our special issues with Variety and Screen International and
our promotional initiatives with major media
outlets to promote our events (Entertainment
Tonight and PRNewswire among others).
Therefore, films showcased during the festival,
as well as our Hollywood Awards nominees and
honorees, reach a great number of Academy voters
due to their participation in our events.
The festival program includes
screenings of both domestic and international
films, as well as emerging and established filmmakers
and has nightly red-carpet gala premieres. The
film screenings include Asian Cinema, European
Cinema, Hollywood Cinema and Latin
Cinema. All screenings and premieres
take place at the state-of-the-art ArcLight Cinemas
in Hollywood.

SCREENING TICKETS:
Hollywood
Film Screenings. Oct. 24, 25 & 26,
2008. Showcasing the HFF finalist features, documentaries
and shorts. Screenings take place at the prestigious
ArcLight Theatres, located at 6360 Sunset Blvd.,
in Hollywood. Ticket sales start one week
prior to the festival's opening.
