H'wood fest adds Foster as honoree
'Breakthrough' awards to include Watts, McG


Jodie Foster will receive an outstanding achievement in acting kudo at the Hollywood Film Festival, running Oct. 1-8 in Los Angeles.

Fest has also added Naomi Watts and helmer McG to its list of honorees. For her star turn in "Mulholland Drive," Watts will receive the fest's breakthrough acting award, while "Charlie's Angels" helmer McG will claim the breakthrough directing kudo.

The awards will be bestowed upon Foster, Watts and McG on Oct. 7, at the fest's award gala, to be held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Other festival honorees include MPAA president Jack Valenti, Martin Scorsese, Robert Towne, producers Douglas Wick and Lucy Fisher, cinematographer Janusz Kaminski, editor Pietro Scalia, composer Marc Shaiman, production designer Harold Michelson, songwriter Carole Bayer Sager and casting director Marcia Ross.
