Fest to focus on Euro pics
H'wood event reaching out to global community
The Hollywood Film Festival and the European Union Commission have aligned to focus on celebrating Euro cinema at this year's fest.
They will jointly present the European Film Showcase and the Hollywood European Film Award, to be bestowed during fest's annual kudos ceremony. Fest kicks off Oct. 2 for a sixth annual weeklong series of screenings and seminars.
"More than ever we are committed to assisting talented filmmakers from the global creative community to access established Hollywood," festival founder Carlos de Abreu said.
