'MOULIN' STARS TAKE HONORS

20th Century Fox's "Moulin Rouge" and its stars have taken top honors in the voting for this year's Hollywood Film Festival awards, to be handed out Monday at the Beverly Hilton.

The Baz Luhrmann-directed film, along with stars Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor, received the most votes among approximately 40,000 ballots cast by movie fans nationwide.

Voting on these top awards was open to the public for the first time this year. Fans could vote at one of more than 1,800 Hollywood Video retail stores nationwide or at "Entertainment Tonight's" etonline.com.

There were six nominees to choose from in each of the three categories. Hollywood Movie of the Year nominees included "Blow," "Bridget Jones's Diary," "Memento," "Moulin Rouge," "Pearl Harbor" and "Shrek." p> Johnny Depp, Colin Firth, Anthony Hopkins, Ben Kingsley, Ewan McGregor and Guy Pearce were nominated for Hollywood Actor of the Year, while Kate Beckinsale, Penelope Cruz, Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman, Julianne Moore and Renee Zellweger vied for Hollywood Actress of the Year.

Previously announced honorees at this year's ceremony -- voted on by a Hollywood Film Festival panel -- will include director John Frankenheimer, cinematographer Laszlo Kovacs and composer Hans Zimmer. The event will be hosted by "Entertainment Tonight's" Julie Moran.
