Hollywood, CA - July 15, 2009. The Hollywood Film Festival, presented by Starz, and ArcLight Cinemas announce their new Hollywood Comedy Film Showcase, an ongoing screening series that celebrates the various forms of cinematic comedy. Each screening offers an early look at an upcoming film and will be followed by an insightful, lively discussion with the filmmakers.

The Hollywood Comedy Film Showcase launches Monday, July 20 with a preview screening of the Robert Luketic romantic comedy THE UGLY TRUTH, starring Katherine Heigl (27 DRESSES, KNOCKED UP) and Gerard Butler (300, ROCKnROLLA).

The series continues on Thursday, July 23 with a preview screening of the Nicholas Jasonovec-romantic mockumentary PAPER HEART, starring Charlyne Yi (KNOCKED UP, SEMI-PRO), Michael Cera (YEAR ONE, JUNO) and Jake Johnson.

On Tuesday, August 4, the showcase will host a preview of Richard Loncraine's period comedy MY ONE AND ONLY, starring Oscar-winner Renee Zellweger (COLD MOUNTAIN, CHICAGO, BRIDGET JONES'S DIARY), Kevin Bacon (MYSTIC RIVER, THE RIVER WILD) and Chris Noth (SEX AND THE CITY).

On Tuesday, August 18, audiences can take a look at comedian Bob Goldthwait's WORLD'S GREATEST DAD, starring Oscar-winner Robin Williams (NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM: BATTLE OF THE SMITHSONIAN, RV) and Daryl Sabara (Robert Zemeckis' upcoming A CHRISTMAS CAROL).
