HOLLYWOOD FEST NAMES JURY
FOR HOLLYWOOD WORLD AWARDS®
HOLLYWOOD, CA, July 17, 2006 -- In their tenth year, the Hollywood Film Festival® and Hollywood Awards®, co-chaired by Paula Wagner and presented by STARZ, have named the panel of international judges assembled to decide on the nominations of this year's Hollywood World Awards®.
The Award, presented by "Screen International," will be bestowed on the best film in world cinema and presented at the Hollywood Awards® ceremony at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills on Oct 23.
Prior winners include "Mrs. Henderson Presents" by Stephen Frears, "The Motorcycle Diaries" by Walter Salles, and "The Sea Inside" by Alejandro Amenabar.
Qualifying films must have their world premieres between Oct. 1, 2005, and Oct. 1, 2006, encompassing this year's crop from all the major film festivals. The shortlist will be
announced on Oct 3.
Co-chairs of the panel are Hollywood Film Festival and Hollywood Awards® co-chair Paula Wagner and executive director Carlos de Abreu and Screen US editor Mike Goodridge.
