PRODUCER JONATHAN D. KRANE TO RECEIVE THE
"HOLLYWOOD VISIONARY AWARD"

Producer Jonathan D. Krane To Be Honored August 7, 2000,
At The Hollywood Film Awards Gala Ceremony
Hollywood, CA -- June 12, 2000 -- The 4th Annual Hollywood Film Festival has announced that producer and manager Jonathan D. Krane will be honored with the festival's "Hollywood Visionary Award." The announcement was made today by Carlos de Abreu, Founder and Executive Director of the Hollywood Film Festival. Mr. Krane's accomplishments include more than 40 feature films, as well as being the manager of John Travolta among many other major stars.
Regarding the announcement, Mr. de Abreu states "Mr. Krane's body of work is a demonstration of his great independent spirit. With Jonathan the impossible becomes possible."
The "Hollywood Visionary Award" honors individuals whose careers reflect their unstoppable determination to implement their visions.
The Visionary award will be bestowed upon Mr. Krane as part of the Hollywood Film Awards Gala Ceremony on Monday evening, August 7, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
Mr. Krane's upcoming projects, all starring John Travolta, include "Numbers," directed by Nora Ephron for Paramount Pictures, "Swordfish," for Warner Bros., and "Domestic Disturbance" for Paramount. His work as a prolific and highly successful producer and executive producer includes such films as "Battlefield Earth," "The General's Daughter," "Primary Colors," "Face/Off," "Phenomenon," "Michael," the "Look Who's Talking" trilogy, "Without You I'm Nothing," "The Chocolate War," "Blind Date," "That's Life," "Micki & Maude," and "The Man Who Loved Women," among many others.
Last year's Hollywood Film Awards Gala Ceremony honored Jack Lemmon, Drew Barrymore, James Caan, Jackie Chan, John Schlesinger, Irwin Winkler, Dede Allen, Jerry Goldsmith, Johnny Grant, Janet Hirshenson and Jane Jenkins, and the winners of the Hollywood Discovery Awards. The presenters included Jan DeBont, Martha Coolidge, Arthur Hiller, Val Kilmer, Martin Landau, Earl Lestz, Michelle Manning, Mark Rydell, Neil Simon, Patrick Swayze, and Jon Voight. The event was hosted by E Entertainment's Steve Kmetko.
