JOHN NELSON'S BIOGRAPHY
John Nelson and Ben Snow served as visual effects supervisors on "Iron Man," Paramount Pictures and Marvel Studios' big screen adaptation of Marvel's legendary superhero Tony Stark/Iron Man, starring Robert Downey Jr. as the billionaire industrialist and genius inventor who vows to protect the world as Iron Man. The film, directed by Jon Favreau, also stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Terrence Howard and Jeff Bridges.
Visual effects supervisor John Nelson's long and distinguished career has included an Academy Award for his work on the 2001 Best Picture winner "Gladiator." He was nominated again in 2004 for his work on "I, Robot." Nelson's other credits as visual effects supervisor include "Matrix Revolutions," "Matrix Reloaded," "Evolution," "City of Angels," "Anaconda," "The Cable Guy," "Judge Dredd," "Johnny Mnemonic," "Wolf," "The Pelican Brief," "My Life," "So I Married an Axe Murderer" and "In the Line of Fire."
