Edward S. Feldman

One of the entertainment industry's most experienced and respected producers, Edward S. Feldman has proven his ability many times during his career with highly regarded, popular, and successful films, including "Witness" (which brought him an Oscar nomination for Best Film), "The Truman Show," "101 Dalmatians," and "Save the Tiger," among others.
Mr. Feldman entered the entertainment industry in the advertising and publicity department of Twentieth Century Fox, before moving to Paramount and later to Embassy Pictures. From 1963 to 1967, he was vice-president in charge of advertising and publicity for Seven Arts Productions.
Mr. Feldman began his career in the motion picture production arena when he became executive assistant to the head of production for Warner Bros./Seven Arts. He subsequently became head of motion picture production for Filmways.
While at Filmways, Mr. Feldman produced or executive-produced such theatrical motion pictures as "Save the Tiger" (for which Jack Lemmon won an Academy Award for Best Actor), "The Other Side of the Mountain," Part I and Part II, and "Two-Minute Warning." He also served as producer or executive producer for a number of television motion pictures and miniseries including "21 Hours at Munich" and "King," both of which earned Emmy Award nominations as Best TV Show of the Year.
In 1984, at Paramount, Mr. Feldman produced "Witness," and his collaboration with director Peter Weir and actor Harrison Ford garnered them eight Academy Award nominations, including one for Best Picture. Mr. Feldman's other projects include "Explorers," "The Hitcher," "The Golden Child," "Near Dark," "Wired," "Green Card" (again with director Peter Weir), "The Doctor," "Honey, I Blew Up the Kid," "Forever Young," starring Mel Gibson, "My Father, the Hero," starring Gerard Depardieu, Rudyard Kipling's "The Jungle Book," and "101 Dalmatians," starring Glenn Close as Cruella DeVil.
Returning to Paramount, Mr. Feldman produced "The Truman Show," starring Jim Carrey and Laura Linney, which was also directed by Peter Weir, who received a BAFTA Award and an Academy Award nomination for his work. Back at Disney, Mr. Feldman then produced "102 Dalmatians," starring Glenn Close and Gerard Depardieu.
Mr Feldman's most recent project has been to produce "K-19: The Widowmaker" for Intermedia, starring Harrison Ford and Liam Neeson. The film is based on the true story of Russia's first nuclear ballistic submarine, which suffered a malfunction in its nuclear reactor on its maiden voyage in 1961. It marks Mr. Feldman's second collaboration with Harrison Ford and will be released in 2002.
