The Hollywood Film Festival® established the Hollywood International Awards™ to honor filmmakers from the global creative community. The awards are comprised of the Hollywood WORLD Awards®, Hollywood FILM Awards®, and Hollywood DISCOVERY Awards®.

from around the world, that are selected
by a Blue Ribbon Selection Committee of both Hollywood and international
judges. More than ever the Hollywood Film Festival

films selected as nominees in 2007 by the Blue
Ribbon Selection Committee were:
"4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days" (Romania) directed by Cristian Mungiu; "Alexandra" (Russia) directed by Aleksandr Sokurov; "The Band's Visit" (Israel) directed by Eran Kolirin; "Control" (UK) directed by Anton Corbijn; "The Diving Bell and the Butterfly" (France) directed by Julian Schnabel; "The Edge of Heaven" (Germany/Turkey) directed by Fatih Akin; "Import/Export" (Austria) directed by Ulrich Seidl; "Persepolis" (France) directed by Vincent Paronnaud and Marjane Satrapi; "Secret Sunshine" (South Korea) directed by Chang-dong Lee; and "Silent Light" (Mexico) directed by Carlos Reygadas.
The Hollywood
World Awards® winner is selected by the
members of the Hollywood Film Festival judging
committee. The 2008 winner will be announced at the Hollywood Awards Gala on Monday, October 27, 2008.
